We often hear companies excitedly explaining how they are selling internationally, after landing their first customer outside of their home market.

Unfortunately there's much more to it. You need to research the market, plan your strategy and prepare and build your sales team. There's no cutting corners.

If your first move is to hire an old friend of yours or a junior salesperson, expecting the revenues to start pouring in, you're in for a surprise.
